<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera module that makes footprint small. <P>SOLUTION: A camera module 100 includes a lens drive device 2 that moves an imaging lens 4 in an optical axis direction. The lens drive device 2 includes electromagnetic drive means that drives the imaging lens 4 by an electromagnetic force using magnets 10a and 10b and a coil 8. The imaging lens 4 is rectangular by plan view. Along each of at least one pair of opposed sides of the rectangular shape, the magnets 10a and 10b and the coil 8 are disposed. By making use of characteristics that the imaging lens 4 is rectangular, along each of at least one pair of opposed sides of the rectangular shape, magnets 10a and 10b of the lens drive device 2 and a coil 8 are disposed. It allows provision of the camera module that makes footprint (occupied space) of the lens drive device 2 small, compared with a case where the magnets are disposed at the corner part of the imaging lens 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
