<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spectrophotometer capable of reducing degradation in an optical element by light from a light source without decreasing reliability of measurement results or working efficiency of an operator. <P>SOLUTION: In the spectrophotometer comprises a photometric unit 10 including a plurality of light sources 11, 12, a spectrometer 15 and a photodetector 18, when no measurement is carried out for a predetermined period and no operation is inputted, the spectrophotometer drives a light source switching mirror 13 into a condition to prevent the light from the light sources 11, 12 from entering subsequent optical elements. Thereby, the optical elements are prevented from irradiation with light from the light sources excessively than necessary for a long period of time, and degradation of the optical elements by light can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
