<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cast coated paper for ink jet recording excel in suitability as an ink jet recording medium, such as ink absorbing performance, glossiness and image clearness, and productivity and a method of manufacturing the cast coated paper. <P>SOLUTION: In the cast coated paper for ink jet recording, at least one coating layer mainly composed of a pigment and including an adhesive and a cationic ink fixing agent is provided on an air-permeable base material. The cast coated paper for ink jet recording is obtained by pressure contacting with a mirror drum while an outermost layer of the coating layer is in a wet state, drying and then, separating from the mirror drum. The outermost layer includes a water-soluble release agent and a water-dispersible release agent having 55-105°C of a melting point and ≥90 mJ/mg of melting heat. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
