<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce consumption of second liquid by enlarging the coating range of second liquid without increasing consumption of the second liquid in a liquid droplet discharging device equipped with a liquid droplet discharging head which discharges first liquid for forming an image, and a liquid droplet discharging head which discharges second liquid that acts on the first liquid to cause aggregation or precipitation of components in the first liquid. <P>SOLUTION: An intermediate transfer body is provided between the discharge surface of a liquid droplet discharging head of second liquid, and a recording medium conveyed by a conveyance mechanism. The second liquid discharged from the liquid droplet discharging head of second liquid is made to impact on the transfer surface of the intermediate transfer body, and the second liquid that is made to impacted on the transfer surface is transferred to the recording medium when the transfer surface comes into contact with the recording medium. When the transfer surface comes into contact with the recording medium, the second liquid adhering to the recording medium is pressurized on the transfer surface and spread thin, thus enlarging the coating range of the second liquid on the recording medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
