<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase efficiency of data update processing. <P>SOLUTION: A database system includes: a common memory 20 for storing common data used in business applications; a database 30 for storing DB data; a common memory update section 11 for updating common data corresponding to an update request command, when the update request command for specific data is received; a common memory monitoring section 12 for determining whether common data is updated; and a database update section 13 for updating DB data corresponding to common data, when the common memory monitoring section 12 determines the common data is updated.
