PURPOSE: A derailment detection system and a control method thereof are provided to detect a derailment degree and a derailment situation of a train by detecting and analyzing the distance between a rail and the train on a real time basis, thereby preventing complete derailment of the train. CONSTITUTION: A derailment detection part(110) outputs a signal indicating the distance between a rail and a train. A terminal communication part(140) communicates with a driving system. An output unit(150) outputs derailment information including a derailment situation and a derailment degree. A terminal controller(130) controls the operation of the output part and the derailment detection part. The terminal controller outputs the derailment information through the output part. |
