PURPOSE: A positive electrode active material is provided to improve charging density by comprising a large diameter active material and a small diameter active material and to ensure volume density, discharge capacity, thermal stability and high-rate discharge properties. CONSTITUTION: A positive electrode active material comprises a small diameter active material having a mean diameter of 0.5 micron and a maximum diameter of 1 micron or smaller, and a large diameter active material having a mean diameter of 5 to 20 micron and a maximum diameter of 100 micron or smaller. The small diameter active material has an olivine structure of lithium metal phosphate. |
