ORGANIC EL ELEMENT MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element manufacturing method capable of suppressing a first organic layer from dissolving in an organic solvent and improving reliability.

SOLUTION: An organic EL element manufacturing method comprises: a step of preparing a substrate 1 and forming a lower electrode 2 on the substrate 1; a step of forming a first organic layer 3 composed of a low molecular organic material having neither a glass transition point temperature nor a crystallization temperature on the lower electrode 2; a heating step of heating the first organic layer 3 to densify it; and a step of forming a second organic layer 4 on the first organic layer 3 in an application method. If a second organic layer 4 is formed on the first organic layer 3 in the application method, this manufacturing method can suppress the first organic layer 3 from dissolving in the organic solvent because it heats the first organic layer 3 for densification.
