<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system capable of easily confirming whether an e-mail reaches a transmission destination in a normal way, when an e-mail is transmitted. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission device of a communication system transmits an e-mail including a transmission ID that includes a transmission acceptance ID generated every time when a transmission instruction of an e-mail to be transmitted to a receiving device is accepted and a destination ID specifying a receiving device, a mail address of the receiving device, and return destination information for instructing the receiving device to return delivery confirmation mail.
