PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking nail and its manufacturing method capable of being manufactured by the easy manufacturing method without being specially required for any renovation of large-scale equipment and facilitating the driving the locking nail to have high retaining force for the nail and its manufacturing method used for fixing a sticking lawn, a net or the like mainly for the slope protection or the greening. SOLUTION: The locking nail is so formed that its overall length is not less than 165 mm to 230 mm, a diameter of its shaft is not less than 5.3 mm, a diameter of its head is not less than 15 mm, a reinforcing projection formed of the same material as that of a plurality of locking nail bodies is formed in a boundary part between the head section and the straight section and that the surface of the head section is formed in an approximately flat shape. The method of manufacturing the locking nail includes a process for forming a required diameter of the shaft by extending an extensible line used for a base metal and a process for cutting the extensible line, and it does not include a process for grinding the shaft of the nail.
