There is disclosed a film dispenser (10) comprising a housing (12) adapted to receive and hold a roll of film (14) and having a dispensing opening (50) through which a layer of film may pass, the dispenser being provided with a movable cutting unit 5 having a blade (30) mounted therein, the dispenser (10) further comprising a cutting channel (26) shaped and positioned to receive said blade (30).
