<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state image sensor exhibiting excellent moisture resistance, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The solid state image sensor comprises a first substrate having a photoelectric conversion section including multiple photoelectric conversion parts, a second substrate having at least a part of a peripheral circuit including a control circuit and a read circuit which reads a signal based on charges of the multiple photoelectric conversion parts, and a wiring structure arranged between the first substrate and second substrate, and having pads connected electrically with the peripheral circuit via lead-out wiring, and an insulation layer.
