A multi-needle quilting apparatus (1) for working a product to be quilted (3) comprises a quilting group (5) for embroidering the product to be quilted (3), a guide carriage (7) for guiding the product to be quilted (3) in a main transport direction (H) relative to the quilting group (5), and a drive unit (31) for driving the quilting group (5). The quilting apparatus (1) further comprises a control unit (9) for actuating the drive unit (31). The quilting group (5) comprises a needle ruler (11) for detachably fastening a plurality of needles (13) and can be moved perpendicular to the product to be quilted (3) by the drive unit (31). The quilting apparatus (1) comprises a plurality of needle rulers (11) in order to apply arbitrary quilting patterns on the product to be quilted (3), without changing the needle configuration of the needle ruler (11). |
