<p>The apparatus has liquid sampling line (4) comprising outlet (5) with temperature sensor (6). The drive units (9-14) with a linear drive such as telescopic drive or spindle guide are provided for adjusting height of liquid line in liquid sampling line at pre-selectable temperature layer of medium, to feed and sample the liquid medium at the pre-selected sampling temperature. An independent claim is included for method for operating apparatus for introducing or withdrawing liquid medium in and out of storage container.</p>
