PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reinforce security against unauthorized use of an MAC address. SOLUTION: A client sends authentication information inputted by a user, the MAC address of a network adapter, and address change information showing whether the MAC address is changed or not to the server for requesting authentication. The server determines an authentication failure and replies access prohibition and finishes processing when change of the MAC address is recognized from the address change information if agreement of the authentication information and the MAC with registered contents is obtained. When change of the MAC address is recognized, the fact is informed to a manager, and according to an instruction from the manager, access may be allowed/prohibited. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
