PURPOSE: A hydrogen purge apparatus and method are provided to prevent carbon corrosion inside a fuel cell and to improve durability of a stack. CONSTITUTION: A hydrogen purge apparatus of a fuel cell system comprises: a fuel supply system for supplying furl to fuel cell stack; and an air supply system for supplying oxygen which is an oxidant needed in electrochemical reaction of the fuel cell stack. The hydrogen purge line of the fuel supply system has a hydrogen purge valve(70) and separate branched valve(100). A hydrogen which passes through a branch valve during shut down process of a fuel cell is purged into an air electrode(50). |
