Disclosed are an ±-olefin oligomer including 90 mol% or more of an ±-olefin unit having 6 or more carbon atoms and having a small amount of a dimer component, in which a mass ratio of a dimer, a trimer and a tetramer is specified and which does not follow the Schulz-Flory distribution, and a process for producing the same.
