PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner that streamlines refrigerant or water heating in a refrigerant heater in a heating operation by removing dew formed on the surface of the refrigerant heater. SOLUTION: The air conditioner has the built-in refrigerant heater 4 for heating, evaporating and delivering to a compressor 1 a refrigerant or water liquefied in an indoor heat exchanger in a heating operation. An inclination of the refrigerant heater 4 in an outdoor unit 6 of the air conditioner simply removes dew formed on the surface of the refrigerant heater. The air conditioner can thus streamline refrigerant or water heating in the refrigerant heater to ensure an efficient operation, and deter component degradation with electrical short-circuiting, corrosion and the like due to dew formation to ensure high reliability and safety.
