The invention relates to an optical anti-glare device, particularly for motor vehicles, with a light receiving component (2) and a light source (3) configured to generate light emission that can be controlled in dependence on the light emission of a source of glare. In order to achieve a relatively large and mainly homogeneously shining surface in spite of compact and flat dimensions, the light source (3) is assigned a flat light guide (5) with at least one narrow edge surface (6) and at least one flat light emission surface (10), wherein the light emission from the light source (3) can be launched via the at least one narrow edge surface (6), and the flat light emission surface (10) has an area that is a multiple of an area of the at least one narrow edge surface used for launching light. |
