METHOD OF GRINDING CURVED SURFACES OF BLADES OF GAS TURBINE ENGINES BY TWO DIAMOND WHEELS

Disclosed is a method for grinding curved surfaces of blades of gas turbine engines by longitudinal tapes, in which movement of a grinding wheel and a workpiece occurs at alignment of normals of the tool and workpiece at the points of contact line. The treatment is carried out sequentially by two diamond wheels: the wheel of larger diameter is used for treatment of a part of inner profile which radius of curvature is not less than the tool radius, as well as transition edges and outer profile of the workpiece - by a wheel which radius is no more than ¾ of minimum radius of curvature of the workpiece surface. An area of concave profile is treated, on which there was no grinding by a wheel of larger diameter.
