DISPLAY SUBSTRATE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A display substrate and a method of manufacturing the display substrate are provided to superpose color filters on source lines and form barrier ribs corresponding to gate lines using a color filter layer to prevent impurity ions from moving to the boundary between pixels to thereby improve display quality. A display substrate includes a TFT(Thin Film Transistor) layer(110), a color filter layer(120), and pixel electrodes(PE). The TFT layer includes gate lines(GLn), source lines(DLm) intersecting the gate lines, and pixels arranged in a matrix. The color filter layer is formed on the TFT layer and includes color filter patterns(CF1,CF2) corresponding to the pixels and barrier ribs(BP) corresponding to the gate lines. The pixel electrodes are formed corresponding to the color filter patterns.
