A tag automatic detection method for a digital door-lock with a built-in RFID chip is provided to extend a lifespan of a battery by reducing a tag question and a response time and to save a cost by an extension of a TAG recognition distance and component reduction of an automatic detection circuit by using only a microcomputer for the transmission of an RFID reader. A tag automatic detection method for a digital door-lock built-in RFID chip includes the steps of: determining an approaching state of a tag(8) before recognizing an ID(Identification) of the tag by interlocking with the tag in a digital door-lock(1), wherein an RFID reader chip(3) is embedded in the digital door-lock; allowing the RFID chip to use only a reception unit as a method to recognize the ID by driving the RFID reader chip; and automatically sensing the state of the tag by determining the ID of the tag and the state of the tag using the microcomputer at the same time.
