<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that improves operability in attaching/detaching a unit equipped with an intermediate transfer body and a degree of freedom in arrangement of a waste toner conveyance path. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises: an intermediate transfer cleaning apparatus 20 provided in an intermediate transfer unit U to remove toner remaining on the surface of an intermediate transfer body after secondary transfer; waste toner storing means provided in the body of the device for storing the toner removed by the intermediate transfer cleaning apparatus 20; an intermediate waste toner communicating path 31 provided in the intermediate transfer unit U to connect the intermediate transfer cleaning apparatus 20 with the waste toner storing means; and a cam 44. When the intermediate waste toner communicating path 31 is located in a fitting position, the intermediate transfer cleaning apparatus 20 communicates with the waste toner storing means. When the intermediate waste toner communicating path 31 is located in a separate position, the intermediate transfer cleaning apparatus 20 and the waste toner storing means are disconnected, and the intermediate transfer unit U can be taken out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
