<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve downsizing of a Doherty amplifier. <P>SOLUTION: A Doherty amplifier comprises: a distributor for distributing an input signal into two signals; a carrier amplifier composed of a first FET 11 to which one of the two signals is applied; a peaking amplifier composed of a second FET 13 to which the other of the two signals is applied, with a narrower gate-to-gate distance than that of the first FET; and a synthesizer that adjusts the output impedance of the carrier amplifier and the peaking amplifier, and synthesizes the output signals of the carrier amplifier and the peaking amplifier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
