<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high-speed handover by minimizing a waiting time in software update which is caused in inter-system handover in a software radio unit. <P>SOLUTION: A software radio unit includes first and second antennas, a reconfigurable circuit, and a control part for controlling the software update of the reconfigurable circuit. The reconfigurable circuit includes as respectively independently software-updatable configuration blocks, a transmission high frequency part for the first antenna, an access channel transmission signal processing part for performing the baseband processing of an access channel, a traffic channel transmission signal processing part for performing the baseband processing of a traffic channel, a first reception high frequency part and a first reception signal processing part respectively for the first antenna, and a second reception high frequency part and a second reception signal processing part respectively for the second antenna.
