<p>The present invention discloses a method for hinting number portability (NP) service and a short message center thereof. The method includes: in the process of forwarding a short message from a calling party to a called party, the short message center sends the second party a hint message that the first party has activated the NP service, wherein the first party is the calling party and the second party is the called party, or the first party is the called party and the second party is the calling party. Through the present invention and by the method of sending a hint message to a party carrying out the short message service, the problem can be solved that when a corresponding party of the short message communication has triggered the NP service, the other party carrying out the communication can not know the information of the service provider that the corresponding party belongs to, so that the effect of transparent communication process can be achieved.</p> |
