<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an adaptive processing without variations when a plurality of display devices perform multi-image display in conjunction with each other. <P>SOLUTION: An original image to be displayed is divided into a plurality of images by an image dividing part 102, and the divided images are outputted to projectors 200 in a distributive manner. A luminance histogram is calculated as a feature quantity of the entire original image by a histogram generating part 104 and is transmitted to the projectors 200.
