<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply an appropriate water emulsion fuel or a fuel to a diesel engine, based on a result of a determination section that determines whether a fuel oil being supplied to the diesel engine is a first fuel oil (for example, a fuel oil A) or a second fuel oil (for example, a fuel oil C). <P>SOLUTION: A fuel supply device 11 having a vessel fuel switching function switches a supply channel switching section 20 so as to supply one of a first fuel oil and a second fuel oil, which are used as they are or used to make a fuel oil or a water emulsion fuel containing water, to a diesel engine 12. A determination section that determines whether a fuel oil being supplied to the diesel engine 12 is the first fuel oil or the second fuel oil is provided in a control section 28.
