<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent water or dust from staying in a space between an injector installation hole of a cylinder head and an injector inserted therein. <P>SOLUTION: A bulb housing portion 25a of the injector 25 is inserted into the injector installation hole 22 which penetrates the cylinder head 14 of a fuel direct injection type engine E and communicates with a combustion chamber 15, and then fixed. A foreign matter, such as water or dust, may be sucked into the space 29 formed between the injector installation hole 22 and the bulb housing portion 25a of the injector 25. However, the space 29 communicates with the outer surface of the cylinder head 14 through a communication hole 14c, to discharge the foreign object collected in the space 29 c without removing the injector 25. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
