An account balance-based compensation interest processing method, a system and a program recording medium therefor are provided to calculate and supply compensation interest based on master account opening application information, and to calculate compensation interest for money nominally deposited on a master account, so that the calculated compensation interest is deposited on a customer-designated account or invested to a financial product. An account opening unit opens a master account for calculating and supplying compensation interest, based on master account opening application information. The application information and a master account(or virtual account) are connected together and stored in a storage medium. A customer's parent company account information and master account information are confirmed, and account balance on each account is inquired about(900). An account processor nominally collects the confirmed balance to deposit the collected balance on the master account(905). Compensation interest for the deposited money is calculated(910). The calculated compensation interest is deposited on a customer-designated account or invested to a financial product(915,925).
