<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool holder which includes a cutting tip finely adjustable in a radial direction and allows the continuous fine adjustment of the cutting tip without hysteresis even in the machining of a work to be processed. <P>SOLUTION: A small tool holder 50 holds a cutting tool 58. The cutting tool 58 is mountable in a tool holding part of the tool holder 50, the tool holder 50 can be fixed to a tool supporting body 68 with fasteners, and furthermore, an operation part 44 is provided by which the cutting tool 58 is adjustable relative to the tool supporting body 68. The operation part 44 includes an integral actuator 52 having at least one pressure chamber 64 to which a pressurized fluid may be supplied, and recesses are formed in predetermined positions of the actuator 52 to reduce the strength of the actuator 52.
