<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support for a hollow fiber membrane which inhibits cylindrical braids of the support from being flattened on a take-up roll, and a method which can manufacture the support for a hollow fiber membrane with good productivity even if the manufacturing speed is increased. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the support for a porous membrane which performs heat treatment of a hollow string-shaped material and then continuously takes up the string-shaped material by the take-up roll, the surface temperature of the hollow string-shaped material just before being contacted with the take-up roll is cooled to 85°C or lower, thereby obtaining the support for a porous membrane composed of the hollow string-shaped material and having a circularity of a cross section in the longitudinal direction of 95% or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
