<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power control apparatus and an electric power conversion method capable of suppressing a loss. <P>SOLUTION: The electric power control apparatus comprises: a conversion circuit having switching elements Q1-Q6 that can be energized bi-directionally and diodes D1-D6 connected to the switching elements Q1-Q6 in parallel; and control means which controls ON and OFF of the switching elements Q1-Q6, and converts a direct current power into a alternating current power. The control means turns on the switching elements Q1-Q6 and makes the diodes D1-D6 energize in a forward direction and the switching elements Q1-Q6 energize in a reverse direction when a current flowing in the conversion circuit is smaller than a threshold current, and turns off the switching elements Q1-Q6 and makes the diodes D1-D6 energize in a forward direction when the current flowing in the conversion circuit is larger than the threshold current. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
