<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail for a bathtub which is capable of preventing a side wall of the bathtub from damaging. <P>SOLUTION: The handrail for a bathtub includes: a body device 3 provided with a handrail 2; a side piece 4 formed at one side part of the body device 3; a pressurizing device 5 provided inside the side piece 4; a pressurizing plate 6 provided at the pressurizing device 5; an operation handle 7 performing operation to move the pressurizing device 5 in a direction approaching/separating to/from the side piece 4; a pressure receiving plate 9 provided at a pressure receiving device 8 oppositely to the pressurizing plate 6; a bolt shank provided through the side piece 4 through a female threaded device 11 disposed on the side piece 4, and having an end connected to the pressurizing device 5; a handle knob 13 for performing the operation of moving the bolt shank forward and backward by threadedly engaging with the female threaded device 11 by turning the bolt shank; and turning transmission shut-off mechanism transmitting a turning force from the handle knob 13 to the bolt shank when the force is smaller than a predetermined force, and preventing the handle knob 13 from transmitting the turning force to the bolt shank when the force exceeds the predetermined force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
