PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new organic insulating film which is continuously manufactured and has a specific physical property over an entire width, and to provide an adhesive film, a flexible metal-clad laminate, a multilayer flexible metal-clad laminate, a coverlay film, a tape for TAB, and a base tape for COF which use the organic insulating film.

SOLUTION: The continuously manufactured organic insulating film satisfies the following (1)-(3) over the entire width of the film. (1) A film MOR-c value is ≥1.05 and ≤5.0; (2) a molecular-chain principal-axis orientation angle is -30° to 30° against an MD direction; and (3) a difference between the maximum and the minimum values of the film MOR-c is 1.0 or below.
