<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air valve in which stopping power over rain water is enhanced and the stopping power is not weakened even when installed in slant. <P>SOLUTION: This air valve 1, wherein it has: a cylindrical cylinder 2 introducing tap water inside from a lower supply opening 21; a pillar-shaped float valve 3 arranged freely in rise and fall at an inner side of the cylinder 2; an end block 4 having a long and slender vent 41 penetrating vertically and to which the pillar-shaped float valve 3, risen by a buoyancy of the tap water, can be stuck so that the vent 41 may be plugged; an end block auxiliary 5 formed with a hollow section 51 communicated to the vent 41 and fixed above the end block 4; and an end cap 6 fixed to the cylinder 2 so that the end block auxiliary 5 may be covered. In the end block auxiliary 5, a second vent 52 penetrating its side wall 5ab from the hollow section 51 is formed, and ring-shaped elastic body 53, which can stick to a periphery of the side wall 5ab with a predetermined elastic force and plug the second vent 52, is arranged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
