<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact optical control device capable of easily fixing a plate member to a base member. <P>SOLUTION: The optical control device 10 includes: a base member 1 having an opening 1a through which light passes; optical control members 11 and 12 moved along a surface orthogonal to an optical axis direction with respect to an opening 1a to control light; and a plurality of plate members 4, 5, and 6 arranged in positions different from each other in the optical axis direction and held by the base member to covert or partition a space for movably storing the optical control member. The plate members have held parts 4b, 5b, and 6b in a plurality of places of their peripheral edges. The base member has, for each plate member, a plurality of holding parts 1b, 1d, and 1f for holding the plate member by tucking, in the optical axis direction, the held part inserted from a direction orthogonal to the optical axis direction.
