PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having a useful feeding device, while preventing a problem caused by collapse of paper sheets, by suppressing increase in weight. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises: a first paper storage part 2 loading a plurality of paper sheets P2 therein; a second paper storage part 1 which can load a plurality of paper sheets P1 therein, moves up and down to occupy a feeding position or a non-feeding position, and is positioned in parallel with the first paper housing part at the non-feeding position; a paper transferring means 70 which can transfer the paper sheets of the first paper housing part to the second paper housing part all at once; and a setting means 62 setting a lock mode moving the second paper housing part to the non-feeding position after the printing is completed.
