Disclosed is an apparatus for predicting signs of fire by sensing the temperature. The apparatus comprises: an infrared (IR) temperature sensor module for measuring the temperature of a kitchen utensil remotely; a temperature memory for saving the temperature measured by the IR temperature sensor module; a trend line extracting module for extracting a trend line of temperatures measured by the IR temperature sensor module depending on the time and estimating the timing of boiling and burning by using the extracted trend line; an alarming timing computing module for computing the timing of alarming by using the trend line and timing of boiling extracted and estimated by the trend line extracting module; a fire alarming module for producing and outputting fire alarming sound or an alarming message at a time measured by the alarming timing computing module; and a fire emergency alarming module for producing and outputting fire emergency sound or a fire message at a timing of burning estimated by the trend line extracting module. Therefore, the present invention is structured to accurately determine the trend line of temperature changes of a kitchen utensil, so that a timing of burning foods can be estimated considering abrupt changes in temperature caused by external causes such as wind or opening the cover. Also, alarming is generated before the food starts to burn, thereby preventing fire in advance. |
