1. An information processing apparatus that executes a plurality of applications, the information processing apparatus comprising:
a reception unit configured to receive a registration request of an application button from each of the plurality of applications; a first display control unit configured to display the application button according to the registration request on a menu screen for selecting one application from the plurality of applications according to the reception of the registration request of the application button by the reception unit; and a second display control unit configured to perform control such that, according to selection of one application button on the menu screen, if an image for transition has been generated, screen transition to a screen of an application corresponding to the selected application button is performed after displaying an animation using the image, and if the image for transition has not been generated, the screen transition to the screen of the application corresponding to the selected application button is performed without displaying the animation.
