PURPOSE: An intake/exhaust system for an engine is provided to precisely control EGR gas by selectively operating an EGR compressor using a clutch unit. CONSTITUTION: An intake/exhaust system for an engine comprises an intake line(170), an exhaust line(180), an EGR line(190), and an EGR compressor(150). The intake line supplies air to an intake manifold(105) of an engine. The exhaust line exhausts the exhaust gas from the intake manifold to the EGR line. The EGR line re-circulates the exhaust gas to one side of the intake line. The EGR compressor is installed in one side of the EGR line and pumps the re-circulated exhaust gas by receiving torque from the engine.
