PURPOSE: A black steel sheet with excellent adhesion strength to a blackening layer and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent a roll from becoming contaminated due to powdering during a steel sheet manufacturing process. CONSTITUTION: A black steel sheet with excellent adhesion strength to a blackening layer comprises a blackening layer formed on the surface of a steel sheet. The ratio of Zn, Ni, Sn, O of the blackening layer is 1:0.015-0.06:0.01-0.065:0.1-0.5. The steel sheet is a zinc or zinc alloy plated steel sheet.
