PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill processing device and a bill processing method capable of improving bill processing efficiency by extending the period of time until bills collected in a payment rejection part are set in a full state and reducing the number of bills collected in the payment rejection part more than the case of feeding all bills determined not to be paid out to the payment rejection part.SOLUTION: A control unit carries out first processing for identifying, by an identification part 20, bills delivered from a reception delivery part 34 (e.g., each money type storage 34) to a conveyance part 18 when bill paying processing is executed, and distributing the bills identified by the identification part 20 to one of a payment part 16, a holding part 30, and a payment rejection part 24 on the basis of the identification result, and second processing for delivering the bills from the holding part 30 to the conveyance part 18, and distributing the delivered bills to the reception delivery part 34 or the payment rejection part 24 on the basis of the reidentification result of the identification part 20 or the like.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
