PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular collision detection device that enables improvement of reliability of communications between impact detection means and collision determination means by using a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A transmission section 23 of an impact sensor 2 transmits detection signals G01-G08 formed based on an impact applied to a vehicle to an air bag ECU 3 sequentially. A first comparison section 32a of the air bag ECU 3 compares current values of the detection signals G01-G08 with a first detection threshold value DTh1. A second comparison section 32b compares the current values of the detection signals G01-G08 with a second detection threshold value DTh2. A communication abnormality detection section 33 of the air bag ECU 3 determines that communications between the impact sensor 2 and the air bag ECU 3 are normal when comparison results obtained by both of the comparison sections 32a, 32b are the same as each other. When the comparison results obtained by both of the comparison sections 32a, 32b are different from each other, the communication abnormality detection section 33 determines that an abnormality occurs in the communications between the impact sensor 2 and the air bag ECU 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
