PURPOSE: A method of forming a styrofoam-type insulator for a water meter tank is provided to prevent parts making frequent contact in the processes of transport, repair, replacement and inspection from becoming crumbled. CONSTITUTION: A method of forming a styrofoam-type insulator for a water meter tank is as follows. Raw Styrofoam is foamed, and a Styrofoam insulator(3) is injection-molded from an injection mold. The Styrofoam insulator molded is dried. A protecting membrane(7) is put into the Styrofoam insulator dried. A hinge ring is mounted on the lower edge(18) of the styrofoam insulator with the protecting membrane, and the margin(20) of the protecting membrane is bent and is adhered to the lower edge of the insulator. The Styrofoam insulator with the hinge ring is placed on a fixture with an air hole. |
