PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display apparatus using a light diffusion lens is provided to reduce the manufacturing costs of a backlight unit by reducing the number of an LED(Light Emitting Diode) package. CONSTITUTION: The thickness of a light diffusion lens is the thinnest at the center of an outer surface. Air is filled between the inner surface of the light diffusion lens and a PCB(Printed Circuit Board). Light emitted by the inner surface passes through the center unit(111a) of the outer surface. The total reflection unit of the outer surface(111b) totally reflects the light. The side unit of the outer surface inflects the light according to an incidence angle.
