<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide glass for a display device which can carry out chemical strengthening in a low temperature and a short time. <P>SOLUTION: The glass for a display device comprises, as represented by mol% based on the following oxides, 61-72% SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, 8-17% Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, 6-18% Li<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O, 2-15% Na<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O, 0-8% K<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O, 0-6% MgO, 0-6% CaO, 0-4% TiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, and 0-2.5% ZrO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, and having a total content R<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O of Li<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O, Na<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O and K<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O of 15-25%, a ratio Li<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O/R<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O of the Li<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O content to R<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O of 0.35-0.8, and a total content of MgO and CaO of 0-9%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
