<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring instrument unit which can secure a large adjustment amount of a spring force to cope with variation of a size of a leaf spring, reduce an installation space of the leaf spring, and shorten the leaf spring. <P>SOLUTION: In a measuring instrument unit, a brake spring 9 is formed into a substantially curved shape and installed between an output gear 7 and a lower face of a motor case 4. A portion of the lower face of the motor case 4, the portion facing the brake spring 9, protrudes upward.
