<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video processing apparatus and a video processing method capable of performing an appropriate video correction according to a noise detection level of a video signal regardless of characteristics of an amplifier section depending on an amplifier ratio. <P>SOLUTION: A video processing apparatus 1 includes an RF booster 11A that amplifies a signal strength of a broadcast signal 20; a noise detection section 18 that detects a noise from a video signal 21 (28) obtained by demodulating the broadcast signal 20 of which signal strength has been amplified at a channel selection/demodulation section 11B and outputs a noise detection value 29; an MPU 19 that determines a correction value for video processing according to an amplifier ratio of the RF booster 11A and the noise detection value 29; a DNR processing section 13 that performs correction processing on video signals 22 to 27 based on the correction value; an enhancer section 14; a dynamic gamma correction section 15; and a static gamma correction section 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
