The device (7) has an outlet (9) connected to a compressed air inlet (8) via an amount controlling device, and to a charge air inlet (6) via a flap element (16). The controlling device is closed when the flap element is partially or fully open. A control unit (15) controls the flap element and the controlling device according to operating states of an internal combustion engine. The controlling device comprises air inlet valves (21, 21') for opening and closing the air inlet. A proportional valve (23) is connected downstream in a direction of flow for setting a pressure in the outlet. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a pressure in an outlet of a fresh gas supply device. |
